Letters from Missionaries | Vol. 10

Check out this update from our partners at the Dream Campaign! We hope you’ll read this and be encouraged to pray for the Dream Campaign, celebrate the work God is doing through them, and consider how God is inviting you to join in His global mission- from our neighbors to the nations.

–Whitney Reed, Missions Mobilizer

The Dream Campaign was started in 2012 with a passion to help students discover who and whose they are. Their goal is to help urban youth discover their strengths, develop as leaders, and dream for the future. They do this through various programs that provide the youth with simple yet impactful positive childhood experiences, help them discover who God uniquely created them to be, provide consistent positive role models through mentoring, and give them opportunities to explore their area of interest, ultimately helping them embrace their future with confidence in who God created them to be.  One of their main programs is called The Toolbox, where they provide a tool each month, a bible lesson that goes along with it, and a skill, which will result in a full toolbox at the end that they can keep. The Dream Campaign is passionate about neighborhood ministry and has always intentionally lived among the community they serve.

Recently, the Dream Campaign has undergone a change in leadership and is finding avenues to expand in new ways even throughout COVID- from partnering with CBC to provide brain breaks and additional supplies for virtual school, to developing a new relationship with Savannah State’s football team that could expand their reach in mentoring these youth and expanding their toolbox program to include Art and Engineering.

Read the following update from new Dream Campaign Executive Director Glenn Paddock:

“What a blessing it is to be able to partner with CBC doing virtual school. Being able to volunteer and pour into our students in this COVID time has been an answer to prayer. It has opened up an opportunity for partnerships with multiple organizations and Savannah State’s Football team. Getting to watch the football players and students interact has been amazing. Watching the relationships and bonds forming is foundational to helping match students with mentors.

Thankful for the opportunity to watch the body come together and pour into the students!”
